Sticker Banner

TikTok sticker banner size

A TikTok sticker banner is made of square stickers, each cut from its own short video. Here are the sizes that line up on a profile, measured on our own test account in October 2026, and what each number means when you prepare a picture.

Quick answer

WhatSize
One sticker video720 × 720 px, square, H.264 MP4, 30 fps, no sound
Sticker lengthup to 5 seconds; TikTok preselects 3 seconds
Picture for 3 stickers (1 row)about 3.15 : 1, for example 2265 × 720 px
Picture for 6 stickers (2 rows)about 3 : 2, for example 2265 × 1493 px
Picture for 9 stickers (3 rows)square, for example 2265 × 2265 px
Gap between stickersabout 7% of a sticker's width

These ratios include the gaps. If your picture is a different shape, the maker crops it to fit, and you can move and zoom it before you download.

Why stickers are 720 × 720

TikTok shows stickers as small rounded squares, a little over a third of the screen width each on a phone. A 720 × 720 video is already sharper than that, and a bigger file only makes posting slower. Whatever the shape of the video you post, Create sticker uses a square from it, which is why the maker exports square videos: there is nothing to drag or zoom in TikTok, so the pieces can't slip.

The gap between stickers

On a profile, stickers don't touch. There is a thin gap between them and the corners are rounded. If you simply cut a picture into 3 equal squares, a straight line running across the row looks broken, because the gap pushes each piece sideways.

The fix is to leave out a sliver of the picture where each gap falls. That is what the maker's gap-aware cut does: it treats the row as 3 stickers plus 2 gaps, each gap about 7% of a sticker's width, and cuts the stickers out around them. The width of a full row is therefore about 3.15 sticker widths, not 3. If your app shows wider or narrower gaps, adjust the gap slider under More options until the preview matches your profile.

Picture ratios for 3, 6 and 9 stickers

  • 3 stickers (1 row): a wide picture, about 3.15 times as wide as it is tall. Panoramas, wide illustrations and cropped landscape photos work well.
  • 6 stickers (2 rows): about 3 : 2, close to a normal landscape photo.
  • 9 stickers (3 rows): square. Square artwork and profile-style portraits fit best.

A 16:9 video is too narrow for one row and too wide for three; it fits 6 stickers best, or 3 stickers if you are happy to lose the top and bottom.

How long each sticker can be

When you tap Create sticker, TikTok preselects 3 seconds and lets you drag the selection up to 5 seconds. The maker cuts every sticker from the same moment of your clip, so as long as you make the same selection on each sticker (the default 3 seconds, or dragged to the end), they all start on the same frame and move together. Short loops look best: motion that returns to where it started within 3 seconds repeats without a jump.

Safe areas inside each sticker

  • Corners: the rounded corners cut off a little of each square. Keep faces and text away from them.
  • Top right: visitors see a save star there. Don't put anything important under it.
  • Middle sticker: it is where people look first, so it should carry the face, the logo or the main action.

Rows, order and filler stickers

TikTok shows the newest sticker first, so the first sticker you create ends up last in the row. The maker numbers the files in creation order, starting with 1, so the picture comes out right. Stickers fill rows of 3. If you already have stickers that aren't part of the banner, the banner shifts across the rows: add 2 filler stickers for a shift of 1 cell, or 1 filler for a shift of 2. The maker can make matching fillers.

Pinned posts are a different size

A banner made of pinned posts at the top of the Posts grid uses tall 3:4 cells, not squares: 3240 × 1440 px for the whole banner and 1080 × 1440 px per piece. Use the TikTok banner splitter for that kind of banner.

FAQ

What size should a TikTok sticker be?

A square. 720 × 720 px is plenty; larger files look the same on a profile.

Can I use a vertical video?

Yes. The maker crops it to the banner shape, and you choose which part to keep. For 3 stickers you will keep a wide strip of the video, so frame the subject in the middle.

Why doesn't my banner line up?

Usually the gaps. Turn on gap-aware cut and adjust the gap until the preview matches your profile. If one sticker is off by a whole cell, see the filler-sticker tip above.

Is there a template with the exact size?

Yes. The free templates include numbered PNG overlays for 3, 6 and 9 stickers, and ready-made animated packs already cut to size.
